Akshay Ajay Sharma is the founder of The Right Word, an independent publication dedicated to history, Sanskrit, civilizational thought, and the ideas that refuse to go out of date.
A graduate in Sanskrit (Honours) from Banaras Hindu University, he is currently pursuing his Master's in Sanskrit at Somnath Sanskrit University, Veraval, with a focus on Sanskrit and the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).
His work explores Bharatiya Itihāsa, Sanskrit texts, philosophy, and books worth reading twice. He enjoys revisiting familiar narratives through original sources, asking inconvenient questions, and occasionally discovering that the footnotes are more revealing than the headlines.
The Right Word was born from a simple frustration: too many opinions are built on funded narratives, too few on evidence. This publication is an attempt to reverse that equation—one carefully researched essay at a time.
He doesn't claim to have all the answers. But he firmly believes that every idea deserves an honest hearing, every claim deserves scrutiny, and every reader deserves more than recycled talking points.
Truth deserves to be spoken—even when it's inconvenient.
When he isn't buried in Sanskrit commentaries or historical archives, he's probably comparing translations, chasing obscure references, or falling down a research rabbit hole that began with "just one quick search."
